Awareness Month 2020Awareness Month 2020 News:  Three of the nation’s leading insurers have signed-up to support awareness efforts being undertaken by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI) during National Long-Term Care Awareness Month (November).

“The support of Mutual of Omaha, Nationwide Financial and Thrivent will enable AALTCI to undertake some special consumer awareness efforts that will benefit all agents and brokers marketing this important protection,” declares Jesse Slome, director of the organization. “Our goal is making more consumers aware of the importance of planning and the benefits available if they choose to investigate long-term care insurance solutions.”

“The Association has consistently been a positive voice for the long-term care insurance industry,” cites George Mellendorf, president of Long-Term Care Solutions.  The Fort Meyers, Florida based national distributor is also supporting the AALTCI Awareness Month effort.

National Long-Term Care Awareness Month was founded in 2001 by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.  “The goal is to get people to focus on long-term care awareness and to involve other relevant parties outside of the insurance industry,” Slome explains.  “This is an enormous issue facing individuals, their families and our nation as a whole.  I’m proud of the steps we are taking to further awareness and discussion of the issue.”

The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance advocates for the importance of planning and supports insurance professionals who market long-term care insurance.  To learn more call the organization at 818-597-3227 or visit their website at www.aaltci.org.
