A new entity will bring together leading insurance marketing and leads experts according to Jesse Slome, founder of the American Association for Long-Term care Insurance.

“We are pleased to announce the launch of TheLeadPros with the goal of helping insurance agents and financial professionals who seek to generate more consumer leads,” stated Jesse Slome. Slome is one of the nation’s leading insurance marketing professionals who has also founded a number of insurance trade organizations.

Slome, a frequent speaker at agent conferences and industry meetings, recognized that agents with limited amounts of money to spend on lead generation are typically overlooked.

“Just as Home Depot killed local hardware stores and Amazon disrupted the world of retail, change is coming rapidly to the insurance business,” Slome predicts. “Insurance and financial professionals who don’t adapt and undertake new efforts to position themselves unfortunately won’t survive as larger entities disrupt the insurance and financial distribution models.”

The new entity launched a new website and Slome announced he is offering to speak without a normal speaking fee as part of the initial brand building for the new organization. Details can be found on the new website www.theleadpros.com.

Jesse Slome spent over 20 years directing public relations and marketing efforts for major consumer brand companies including General Foods, Dunlap Sports as well as financial and insurance companies including Aetna, Citibank and Transamerica. He is founder of several industry organizations including the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance and the National Advisory Center for Short Term Care Information.

been announced by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.

“The cost of long term care insurance has risen making it increasingly important to let consumers know there are simple ways to reduce the cost of this protection,” explains Jesse Slome, executive Director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “Cost is the number one barrier to sales and providing information is the most powerful way to overcome this barrier and objection.”

To support the marketing efforts of insurance professionals the organization announced a special promotional campaign on the organization’s consumer guide Potential Ways To Reduce The Cost Of Long-Term Care Insurance. “Over two million copies of Association consumer guides have been used with great success by insurance agents as part of their consumer awareness and education efforts,” Slome notes. “This is by far the most timely of the guides because everyone today is concerned about costs.”

A special Buy One Get One Free offer on the Ways To Reduce Cost guide is available to all insurance and financial professionals. The guides come in packs of 50 and sell for $35-per-pack plus shipping. For every package of the guide purchased, the Association will provide a free package. According to the organization, the special offer ends June 1, 2013 and is limited to supplies on hand.

All consumer guides currently available from the organization can be viewed online. Established in 1998, the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance focuses on supporting the marketing and sales efforts of insurance and financial professionals. The organization’s online Long Term Care Insurance Learning And Marketing Center is available exclusively to members of the trade group.

Los Angeles, CA – January 27, 2013: The rules that govern marketing and sales of long term care insurance no longer apply and success going forward will depend on how well insurance agents adapt to the ‘Connection Economy’ declares a leading industry expert.

“The insurance industry and especially insurance agents lag woefully behind the curve in accepting the new reality of how American consumers seek and obtain information and make buying decisions,” explains Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. The founder and head of the national trade group based in Los Angeles, CA advised insurance agents of the need to adapt in order to flourish in the new ‘Connection Economy’ as he describes it.

“Change is occurring faster than most people are prepared to adapt and while it is generally perceived as young people who most utilize technology, older consumers, those who are prospects for long-term care insurance are rapidly changing as well,” Slome notes.

As evidence, the Association executive noted the dramatic increase in the number of people using online search engines to research information and connect with resources who can provide both competitive products as well as expertise. “In the Connection Economy establishing your expertise in the eyes of the public is paramount,” Slome says. “It is amazing how many insurance professionals still have no online presence or a poorly crafted one, when so many free opportunities such as Linkedin exist,” he shared with agents recently.

Slome who founded the Association in 1998 and is an award winning marketing and sales executive urged insurance professionals to devote just one hour each week to efforts related to improving how they connect with new world consumers online. “Most independent agents do not need a website, or can utilize a low-cost template version, but they must learn how to effectively create an online presence so that consumers who are seeking information or checking our their professional credentials can accomplish this with relative ease,” he added.

The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance is the national association serving insurance and financial professionals who provide long-term care financing solutions. Membership in the organization costs $98 for a year and includes access to the nation’s largest online long term care insurance Marketing and Sales Center.

Los Angeles, CA – January 26, 2013: A guide explaining current tax advantages of purchasing and owning long term care insurance is now available.

“The tax deductibility of long term care insurance remains one of the best kept secrets,” explains Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. The national trade group based in Los Angeles, CA has just announced availability of its annual guide describing tax advantages to individuals and business owners.

“The Federal government and a number of states recognize the importance of giving people an incentive to plan for the very real risk of needing long term care at some point in their life,” Slome notes. “Tax deductions or even tax credits are available that are enormously beneficial, especially to business owners today.”

According to the long term care insurance expert, individuals may be able to deduct as much as $4,550, the maximum level for 2013. “The Internal Revenue Service announces the increase each year so we annually update our guide to help or members educate people,” Slome adds. “For individuals, the ability to deduct the costs of long term health care insurance is especially valuable after retirement when income drops, expenses increase and the likelihood of meeting medical expense limits increases,” Slome shares.

Business owners today can benefit from significant added tax advantages. “Small business especially, those with between 10 and 50 employees today are a prime beneficiary because they can enjoy both tax benefits and the potential for small employer discounts offered by a number of leading long term care insurers,” Slome concludes.

The 2013 guide is available in electronic format and is personalized with the agent’s name and contact information. The cost for an electronic personalized version is a one time set up charge of $35 for members of the Association.

The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance is the national association serving insurance and financial professionals who provide long-term care financing solutions. Membership in the organization costs $98 for a year and includes access to the nation’s largest online long term care insurance Marketing and Sales Center where a variety of etools can be found and utilized.

Nearly 550 insurance professionals focused on marketing and selling long term care insurance are registered to attend the upcoming national industry conference.

“Despite the provocative headlines about insurance companies ceasing sales the long term care insurance industry is very much alive and thriving,” declares Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. The organization organizes the upcoming National Long Term Care Insurance Summit, the premier industry gathering which will take place November 10-12, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Registration for the national conference, the only third-party organized event that focuses exclusively on the marketing of long term care insurance products including traditional policies as well as the newer hybrid life insurance and annuity policies providing long term care benefits, has increased compared to the prior event. The Summit is held every 18 months.

“A record number of insurance professionals will be paying their own way to learn more about the latest developments in the industry as well as to network with other leading professionals from across the country,” Slome explains. The Summit features some 30 different sessions featuring many of the nation’s leading industry experts. “This year, Harley Gordon, president of the Corporation for Long Term Care Certification, will be doing a special half-day session exclusively for those who have completed the CLTC designation program.”

One of the more anticipated sessions will feature four leading long term care insurance professionals who will explain how they now market and sell this coverage over the telephone and Internet. “Sales of long term care insurance continue to grow because there is no other adequate solution available to Americans and they know it,” concludes Slome. “The energy at this year’s event will be high and people will leave energized and prepared to better serve their clients and prospects.”

Established in 1998 as a non-profit trade group, the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance advocates for the importance of planning for long term care and supports insurance and financial professionals who market LTC insurance. To learn more about long term care insurance costs call the organization’s offices at (818) 597-3227 or visit the Association’s website.
