Long Term Care Insurance Summit Announced

The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance announces the organization’s 2011 LTCi Producers Summit. The 3-day event will take place in Las Vegas, April 3-5, 2011.

The Summit is the nation’s leading conference focused exclusively on the sale and marketing of long-term care financial products including individual LTC insurance as well as the newer combo (linked) annuity and life+LTC products.

Held every 18 months the event will bring together hundreds of insurance and financial professionals from virtually every state. This is the Association’s ninth conference.

Low-Cost E&O Insurance Now Available

A new, low-cost E&O (Errors and Omissions) protection program for insurance agents and brokers is now being offered through the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.

According to Jesse Slome, executive director for the organization, the cost for $1-million per-claim is $510-per-year which includes all fees and applicable taxes.

Coverage covers life and health insurance sales including long-term care insurance with options available for producers offering annuities and equity indexed annuity contracts. Covrerage is available to producers in all states.

Payment can be made by credit card on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. The online application takes between five and eight minutes and asks only eight underwriting questions. Those who are accepted will receive an immediate certificate acknowledging their approval.

2010 Long Term Care Insurance Sales Achievement Awards

Insurance and financial professionals who market long-term care insurance protection are invited to enter the Eighth Long-Term Care Sales Achievement Awards. The annual program, conducted by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, recognizes producers based on sales made during 2009.

“Awards are given for sales of individual long-term care insurance policies as well as multi-life long-term care,” explains Jesse Slome, the organization’s executive director. A new category has been added to recognize producers who began selling long-term care insurance in 2009.

Award recipients are ranked on a national as well as a state-by-state basis with their names published in the Association’s annual LTCi Sourcebook. ”This is an excellent way for agents and brokers, even those who have just started selling, to show prospects they have been recognized as a leading producer in the industry,” Slome notes. The minimal placed premium for 2009 is $2,500. ”All those who enter and qualify are recognized,” he adds.
