Short-Term Care Insurance Industry Leaders Gather For First Advisory Committee Meeting

For the first time, insurers and distributors focused on offering short-term care insurance (also referred to as recovery care) products met to discuss initiatives designed to build awareness and sales for the industry.

Organized by the newly-created National Advisory Center for Short Term Care Information, part of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, the focus of the meeting was to discuss initiatives that would increase consumer visibility as well as build the number of insurance professionals who market these products.  The organization’s Advisory Committee meet in Chicago (Wednesday, January 16, 2015, at the Embassy Suites, Rosemont).

“It was an incredibly productive meeting and we will be working on several initiatives that will launch in 2016,” explains Jesse Slome, director of the National Advisory Center.   ”There was incredible energy and commitment.  Building awareness is an all-important step to generating more sales.”
