Los Angeles; August 13, 2013 – A new advertising effort focused on long term care insurance planning was announced today by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance.

“November is national Long Term Care Awareness Month and we are very pleased to undertake another effort to create heightened awareness and understanding of the importance of planning,” declares Jesse Slome, executive director of the long term care insurance industry trade group.  Slome was the founder of Long Term Care Awareness Month which was first established in 2001 and has since been recognized by Congress, several State governors and multiple city mayors.

As part of the Association’s efforts to mark this year’s event, the organization will be running new advertorial information in the November issue of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine.  “We will focus on continuing to provide relevant information that is of benefit to consumers,” Slome notes.  “There is still an enormous lack of understanding how to make long term care insurance affordable, when to start the planning process and some of the newer options that are increasingly of interest to consumers.”

The campaign in Kiplinger’s marks the fifth in an ongoing series of consumer educational guides focused on long term care planning.   Reprints of the inserts are made available to consumers.

Copies of the previously produced guides can be accessed via the organization’s website.  “Educating consumers is a public service we gladly undertake,” Slome acknowledged.  The organization does not require submitting any personal information in order to access the prior guides.  To read the guides go to www.aaltci.org/guides.

Individuals who are interested in learning more about long term care insurance protection or who wish to get no-obligation long term care insurance costs from a member of the Association, can the organization at 818-597-3227.
